know what kind of tree this is? I think it is some kind of oak, not sure any ideas?
what kind of oak?
oak leaves shining through
tall corn pine tree is tall complement each other the blue sky is nothing to sneeze at either.
black walnut canopy.
that apple tree that was in full bloom in another of my posts, bearing beautiful fruit,
my fig tree got really big those red flowers is robin hood rose, I transplanted it there this year and it took a long time to get going so it is small it got quite a bit of die back where it was before which was a northern exposure with little shelter. here I hope it will do better.
my feet hurt and my legs ache after this walk, (plus did yard work too for a while picked up logs and did some weed wacking, love to see those weeds get wacked,) because I wore my brand new filas for the first time the traffic was horrendous, the mosquitos were really bad in spotsincluding when I was cleaning and mowing the hill, yikes! so I itch as well.even with a head net they attacked by arms and back, very hard to do work when your being attacked my mimi monsters.lol by the way do you like my filas? these don’t look like gorilla feet, lol.

take a look at the fence panels, this rose you can tell by the extended canes (just grew this past month) it wants to climb, so rather than have to take all the canes out of the panels, (they would probably break if I did) what kind of apparatus can I use to let them climbe? i was thinking of a metal arch that would go on the sides of the panels and extend way up like a rainbow and over to the other side, but what would I use to give it climbing help? what if I use fishing line? now a arbor that has a side and extended top to the other end would work except it is expensive, any suggestions? I can’t take them out of the panels as they willprobably break off alot of the ends of the canes and I like the fence, is there any ideas of what I can make or buy that would work? thanks.all your gardeners and carpenters and such put your thinking caps on andhelp me help this rose.
any suggestions to make this better? changes, add take away? the plants on the edges are hortutunia, I love these, should I add a fence change the hanging plants moving them? the big bush at the top is a crepe myrtel, the plant in the middle is a golden honeysuckle, the little bushy one is a crepe myrtle, the catci is pear, the little scrubby plant on the left is a rose I transplanted here,
now what adjustments can go here? does anyone know why this rugosa (which looks like a tree rose) on the left there has bare stems? the one in the back is more leafed on it’s canes, the trellis is temporary for the morning glories but right in front of that a topaz jewel is going there, (yellow rugosa) should I lose the fence or change it, shall I move the hanging plants and put something else there like a statue or maybe a water feature? I seen those beautiful lilies at the naturleum and seen those lilies at the garden centere and I am thinking humm might just make a minature pond (maybe using a cereamic pot with no holes in it and fill with muck, water and plants? what say you? should I put plants or some hardscape behind the plants next ot the hallway/garage section? give me some ideas that won’t break the bank or evensometihng I can build ormake myself? is there something I can do with adding tall plants or hard scape to the varigated grass and snow on the mountain plants? maybe put a hanging planter there that is shorter thna the ones I have? what can I do to make the window look bettr or hide parts of it? would a five foot lighthouse on a petastl which will be hidden by the plants work behind the plants in the corner of the garage/hallway work? thanks in advance

my new dawn looks really good despite getting the crap beat out of it by the heavy rains we got. when it is cool out they are more pink when it gets really hot they go white.
look almost like old garden roses that the flowers hang over, it was the stupid rain that beat them into submission.
my blaze starting to bloom, yippy, looks like the rain didnt beat them up.
my pink buttons rose (actually fairy rose) hasnt bloomed yet tho it has tons of buds on them.
hope you enjoy these like I am enjoying them,
comfrey in flower, very hardy plant, transplants really nice
my rosa rugosa, pretty and smells wonderful. what a rose hardy, doesn’t need sprays and winter hardy like crazy and spined like nuts to.
this semi wild rose I forgot the name I practically paid nothing for it, turned out better than I anticipated, smells good too. I know it is either species rose or rugosa hybrid.
mayroses, wild, smell wonderful too,
when my new dawn and explorer climber john davis, well I think that is what they sent me, bloom I will post pictures, they are just so full of buds right now I can’t wait, my blaze is full of buds too so I will post it as well once they are in full bloom, which I cannot wait. oh yea my landscaping is coming along really well, you know it is just like a switch was pulled and I cannot seem to stop coming up with ideas and carrying them out, I keep saying this will be enough now I just have to maintain it and mow regularly then I think of something else I can do to spruce up the yard even better or something else I would like to grow in the garden or something, never happend like this to me before, also I keep saying today I will rest because I am so sore, but then I end up doing something then it leads to something else, not big mind you just little things that add up,, can one become obessessed? or am I just making up for lost time? it is like I can’t stop, help! lol, but when I look at my yard it is just so worth it, I did it myself, I actually accomplised something and seen through to the end (kept my attention and interest long enough to see it completed)if you knew me you would know my motivations and goals are not sustainable, I end up not doing it all the way or not starting it. sometimes I wonder if I have or had adhd or something. or manic depression with emphasis on the depressed side of the coin more than the other. well I hope you enjoy the photos, now get out there and take pictures of pretty things will you and share them I am dying to see what others are doing in their yard, what they seen on the trails that sorta thing.

my poor peach tree has the bad case of leaf curl, I might have to chop it down as I read about the treatments and it si too extensive and iffy to waste time or money, I read that red haven is one that is resistant so I will be getting a couple in the late summer early fall. this really sucks after seeing such pretty flowers. I think it’s roots may hve hit a water pocket underground and is just to wet, makes sense it is a bit wetter on that side then the south side of my house. did get a couple of apple trees tho planted them last week. a yellow delicious and a gala. yummy. maybe i will post some pictures of them.
anyway here are some more pictures I took yesterday, anyone know what kind of bush this is? the flowers are softly sweet and it gets red berries on it and I love it, let me guess it is not native isnt it?
know what kind of shrub this is? I didnt plant it a bird did, I like it so I kept it, it is very thorny and gets red berries on it, the flowers pretty too, here is another picture of it,
I just did this to part of my front yard this week, like? those potted strawberries are only there temporarily until I build a raised bed for them.
plants are the one with no leaves on the bottom stem is a rosa rugosa, the variagated next to the house is varigated grass with snow on the mountain, the plants in the corner are hortatunia, and hardy fig, the plants on the outer edges of the bed are horatunia, two types actualy, the plant by the garage leafing out is a crape myrtle, the plants in the hanging pots one is oak leaf ivy and I don’t know the names of the rest. plant on the steps there is a scafflera, house plant, the trellis will be for red morning glories that are growing in pots as we speak. I have just finished another bed today will post pictures later after I get it completly looking decent, here is picture of my carolina all spices in bloom,
now for the dogwoods
